How will your business handle a power cut? What about a flood or major earthquake?
Businesses in the Wellington Region face a variety of potential disruptions. Some are familiar annoyances, like short-term supply chain mishaps, while others may come from major disasters like earthquakes, as happened in Christchurch.
Business Continuity Planning will help your business or organisation to not only survive disruptions, but thrive in the long term.
WREMO is facilitating free workshops across the region to help businesses learn about the basics of continuity planning, and provide easy to use tools to get started on a customised plan that meets your needs. The workshop will draw on lessons from experiences in Christchurch and international research from other disasters. The workshops provide an opportunity to meet other small and medium sized business in your area, and share your ideas along with delicious snacks and nibbles.
At this workshop you will:
- Learn how to better prepare your business to survive disruptions
- Understand how your business could adapt after a disaster
- Make a start on your plan using our simple tool
- Receive a free USB with a template of an business continuity plan
The workshops are designed for small and medium sized businesses, as well as NGOs, non-profits and other organisations, and are hosted around the Wellington region on a variety of dates, so that you can attend one that works for you.
